Our Story

Never Less Cat Rescue was founded out of compassion, experience, and a shared desire to do things differently.

The story began many years ago when our Co-Founders adopted Cinder, a cat with hind leg paralysis who needed extra care and support. With guidance from his vet, they quickly adapted to his needs and discovered that what might seem overwhelming to others came naturally to them. Shortly after, Aurora, another cat with similar challenges, joined the family—deepening their understanding of the kind of patience, love, and individualized care so many cats deserve.

Motivated to help more cats, our Co-Founders began fostering for other rescues and shelters, gaining hands-on experience and building meaningful connections within the rescue community. Through that journey, they witnessed what worked—and what didn’t. They saw adoptions rushed without thoughtful consideration, lack of due diligence and education, cats overlooked for being different, and a lack of emphasis on matching animals with the right homes for long-term success.

With time, reflection, and the support of like-minded individuals met through years in the rescue space, Never Less Cat Rescue was born—founded not only by its Co-Founders but carried forward by a community that shares its core values.

Today, Never Less Cat Rescue is a foster-based organization rooted in thoughtful matchmaking, integrity, and compassion. The rescue cares for cats of all kinds—young and old, outgoing and reserved, healthy and those who need a little extra care. What ties them all together is the belief that no cat is ever “less.”

Never Less isn’t about being the biggest rescue—it’s about being intentional, community-driven, and deeply committed to doing what’s right for the animals in our care.

As the rescue grows, the mission remains the same: to care deeply, match wisely, and build a rescue community where every cat is seen, valued, and loved.
